25th Annual Northcoast Environmental Center Auction

The 25th Annual Northcoast Environmental Center will be held on Sayurday, April 11th at the Arcata Community Center. This annual event is the major fundraiser for the NEC each year, and directly benefts all of their great projects, including:

• Removal of four dams on the Klamath River.
• Working to improve the Orleans Community Fuels Reduction Project (changing it from an old-growth logging plan to an actual forest health project).
• Protection of Lake Earl in Del Norte County — the largest coastal Lagoon in the Western U.S.
• Development of a Sustainable Communities Program to create community gardens, contribute to General Plan updates, promote alternative transportation, reduce carbon loading, and expand our famous Coastal Cleanup program to a year-round enterprise.
